Pottery. We have been working very hard with the Polish artisans to
create this wonderful birdhouse, and are the originators of it in
America. Truly an exceptional birdhouse, we already have seen
one bird visit ours in Stars & Stripes that is pictured
right.
Hangers: We have an outstanding Pennsylvania craftsman creating the iron hangers. Hangers cost $18 each and can be selected from the menu below with the birdhouse. There is a hole in the bottom for drainage that might be usable for pole mounting, but we have never tried it. Durability: Following Hurricane Isabel, we left one out to see how it weathered the storm. Safe and sound in the PA hanger, it didn't even have a scratch. Wish we hadn't lost power for five days, though. All our birdhouses also survived 5 feet of snow and the Maryland winter intact.
