We are so happy to offer you
this special item available ONLY at Twins Polish
Pottery. We worked very hard with the Polish artisans to
create this wonderful birdhouse, and are the originators of it in
America. Truly an exceptional birdhouse, we hosted two separate bird families in 2008. One house had five baby birds in it!
Hangers: We have an
outstanding Pennsylvania craftsman creating the iron hangers. Hangers can be selected from the menu below with the birdhouse.
There is a hole in the bottom for drainage that might be usable for pole
mounting, but we have never tried it.
Durability: During
Hurricane Isabel, we had left one out to see how it weathered the storm.
Safe and sound in the PA hanger, it didn't even have a scratch. All our birdhouses also
survived 5 feet of snow and the Maryland winter intact.
Size and Birds: The house
is 12" tall and is suitable living quarters for the following
birds:
Titmouse, Nuthatch, House Wren, Downy
Woodpeckers, and Chickadees.
